Project: Global Shares

Global Shares a J.P. Morgan company  is a leading global fintech company who  employee stock plans for some of the world’s most exciting startups, tech unicorns and enterprise brands.

Global Shares was setup in West Cork and sold to J.P Morgan in 2022 for €676 million.

We were originally approached by Global Shares to deal with acoustic issues within the workspace but we quickly realised that the workspace needed a bit of love & attention to create a “want to be there office”. We addressed the challenging acoustics by first testing the reverberation time (RT) in all of the open plan, meeting rooms & commonspaces after analysing the results we designed an acoustic treatment to all of the area to bring the RT to below .6 of a second which is the recommenced time for an office. Ceilings were treated with Ezobord Class A acoustic baffles, walls were covered with a mix of acoustic felt & sonic wall panels. Acoustic curtains were also used in areas as were soft furnishings to absorb even more sound.

To improve the visual appeal of the the office we commissioned local artists to show their work & also produced local streetscape graphics of past & present to give the workspace a sense of place. We also introduced wood paneling & natural plants to give the space a more homely feeling.
