Project: Pfizer RCMF

Pfizer’s Ringaskiddy complex in Cork, Ireland, was the first of six sites developed by Pfizer in the country. It is the firm’s largest production facility outside the US. We were selected to supply all of the loose furniture to this new 5 story building after a competitive tender process. The project was completed under a rigorous Health & Safety regime and under challenging site conditions.

The  workspace design harmonizes the company’s corporate branding with a refined colour palette, creating an environment that is both inviting and professional. We utilized a wide range of high-end products to craft a space that balances private and collaborative work, with a focus on versatility and comfort.

The open-plan layout features a mix of stationary and sit-stand desks, encouraging movement and flexibility throughout the workday. To address the need for privacy in a bustling open space, we strategically incorporated private booths, campers, and dens by Orangebox, creating cozy retreats for focused work and informal meetings. These elements also help define distinct zones within the office, allowing teams to have their own dedicated spaces.

One of the key challenges of the project was ensuring that every element met LEED certification standards while still delivering a visually stunning design. Baux acoustic panels were used extensively across all areas, enhancing both acoustics and aesthetic appeal by adding texture and interest to the walls. Spanning four floors, this office is a testament to thoughtful design, where every corner has been given the attention it deserves, resulting in a workplace that is not only beautiful but also highly functional and sustainable.
